Lisa has the highest possible peer review rating (AV) by Martindale Hubbell for over 15 years straight and the highest possible judicial review rating (AV).  She is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas and primarily focuses on federal criminal defense in the federal courts of Missouri and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

With over 30 years of experience and 25 in federal criminal defense, Lisa has represented individuals in federal court in all stages of proceedings from investigation, trial, appellate and post-conviction.

Lisa has extensive trial experience in federal and state court and has served as lead counsel in a number of complex federal cases.  She has briefed and argued before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

She has been recognized by the Kansas City Business Journal “Best of the Bar” and been included in the Kansas and Missouri Super Lawyers.  She is a former chair of the Federal Practice Committee for the US District Court in the Western District of Missouri.  She is a member of the Kansas City Missouri Bar Association (criminal law section) and Association for Women Lawyers of Kansas City.  In 2012, she served on the Merit Selection Panel to Review Reappointment of US Magistrate Judge John Maughmer.  She has presented and moderated at numerous federal court seminars over the years in the area of federal criminal defense and ethics in federal criminal defense.  She makes every effort to mentor young attorneys interested in federal criminal defense.
